Keon Johnson

One of the top players in the class for a while now, Johnson is a gamer with tools on both side of the ball to like. He's an athletic shortstop with projection remaining in his 6 foot 2 frame.

At the plate, Johnson uses a smooth and easy right handed stroke. He gathers into his backside, rotating hard and letting his bat fly through the zone. There's solid bat speed here, and whippy hands that allow him to leverage the baseball. While it was a down summer for Johnson offensively, his whiff rates were still borderline elite. It's distinguished bat to ball skills, a patient approach, and an emphasis on pulling the baseball in the air. It's mostly doubles in the gap at this point, but Johnson projects to grow into more power as his frame continues to fill.
