Bo Lowrance
Scouting Report
Lowrance may have some of the best offensive upside the 2026 high school class has to offer. It's an ultra-lanky 6-foot-5 frame with plenty of physical projection to dream on.
From the left side, Lowrance shows off a smooth and simple left handed stroke. It's a controlled move forward and a quick, efficient turn to the baseball. Lowrance has impressive barrel length through the zone and long levers that he uses to his advantage. The swing as a whole is bit reminiscent 2025 Yankees first rounder Dax Kilby, similar length and relaxed rhythm. Lowrance owns above average bat-to-ball skills, extremely rare to find with a player of his size and length. He's handled velocity fairly well up to this point despite his length, though there's a chance he gets beat more at the top of the zone against pro pitching. For the most part it's relatively good swing decisions, at times a bit passive against breaking balls. As a whole Lowrance is a suprisingly polished hitter.
Lowrance's most exciting part of his game may be his raw power. It's pretty easy to project an above average, if not a plus grade once fully matured. He clearly understands how to loft the baseball in the air, and he's shown the ability to do so to all fields this spring. The offensive upside will be what drives the profile for the time being.
Lowrance is an average runner with long strides and an abnormal running style. He projects to stick at third base long term with an above average arm and solid hands, although he could see a move over to first base if he loses athleticism while filling out. Lowrance's offensive upside has a chance to get him selected inside the top 50 picks, perhaps earlier, though he's expected to be somewhat of a difficult sign away fron Virginia.
